Oh, hi.

I’m Liz Doupnik — a writer, editor, content strategist, brand whisperer and trend forecaster with almost 20 years of experience. I’m a freelance fashion and lifestyle journalist, specializing in distilling large cultural movements in unique observations and angles. Before taking the plunge into full-time freelance, I was the Managing Editor at Nike where I helped to launch the most successful content initiative at the brand.

A little more about me (aka the tea).

Before Nike, I worked extensively as a journalist and editorial leader at SHAPE, Women’s Wear Daily, Seventeen and StyleCaster. From leading the full digital operation at SHAPE to styling celebrity photoshoots to leading company-wide trend workshops, I approach every team, project and challenge with a sense of humor, optimism and hard friggin’ work.

I’ve interviewed countless celebrities and experts for profiles and features, produced and styled photoshoots, and appeared on numerous panels about emerging trends and consumer attitudes.

I have an insatiable curiosity about what’s coming up next (and what’s coming back into focus) in culture. I’m a Bravo junkie with a soft spot for vintage music and clothes. I’m just as comfortable dishing on the Real Housewives as I am discussing the return of indie sleaze or the latest Sally Rooney novel. I love running, visiting used bookstores and meeting any dog unfortunate enough to cross my path.
